What does it mean to be/become human today?
Hi all, I'm Jie, a philosophy graduate currently pursuing a PhD in Learning Sciences focused on ethics & sustainability education in Switzerland. Our understanding of the world shapes our emotional landscapes and ethical considerations. In a time marked by pluricrisis, harnessing this understanding becomes even more critical.
I've been exploring how we can better accompany and educate our youth to navigate and engage with these complex times. What does it mean to be, or to become, human for our youth today? Navigating between Western and non-Western perspectives in ethics (including my cultural heritage in Asian philosophy), I conduct design research that aims to both understand and facilitate capabilities development that might contribute to planetary flourishing.
I'm eager to connect with IDG practitioners who are interested in these themes. Glad to be here and meet some of you soon!
