-The way systems are structured and fear create are the two things that create violence-
We are conditioned by the systems in place, if we want to go upstream and change the root cause of armed conflict and violence we have to work at inner dimension and the structural level.
- We have mistaken the goal and the means - focusing on economic growth is a mean, not a goal.
- 👉The goal should be to enhance the quality of life for all - happiness and wellbeing is the ultimate goal.
- What do we mean by happiness beyond personal subjective feelings;
- THREE conditions are fundamental; 1. Knowing how to live in harmony with ourself and caring for ourself AND 2. others. This can be taught, social and emotional skills, And 3. learning to be in harmony with our beautiful planet. These 3 are the foundations of happiness from the perspective of Gross National
A systemic shift can create the conditions to create happiness - EDUCATION is one of the pillars. Math, science, reading AND the overall wellbeing of people will be included in the PISA criteria.
Another systemic shift is with business, we need to rethink economy and show that business can be a force for good in the world. What is that business model -this is possible by focusing on what is a conducive environment to bring the best out of people in their environment. Can the system be fair so that people feel in alignment with themselves.
Change is inevitable.
Will be the victims? OR will be the conscious actors of the change that comes from within, based on mindfulness, compassion and emotional intelligence to create together a world that is more inclusive, compassionate for ourselves and our children. The decision is ours to take, individually and collectively.
THE TIME IS NOW
