Yesterday's game.

So yesterday we played horrabridge united. We were away from home and the sun was shining.

We went into this game knowing that we had lost 1 player and another would be available for us when his other teams didn't have games.(So not that often)

The pitch is on a slight hill and the home team always kick downhill in the first half as an advantage.

We started the game well and were pressing from the off. We played some lovely football and finally made a breakthrough. 1-0

The home team then applied the pressure and had some chances. A one on one and I managed to close the angle and deflect the ball and one of my teammates cleared the danger. Out for a corner and the incoming ball needed tipping in the bar and again my defence cleared the ball after. I had to make some smothers and some high catches in that half. During that half we scored 3 more goals and were good value for our lead..

The mood at half time was good..on to the second half and we had the advantage of the hill. Not many big moments for me second half but I had to pass the ball around and deliver my kicks correctly. We scored 3 more in the second half and won 7-0.

So pleased with the win and the clean sheet.

More so with the fact my manager said that having me in goal gives all the players in front of me the confidence to play football.
