New Grassroots Rules (especially U7)
I would imagine there aren't too many parents of 6 or 7 year olds on here at the moment but what are peoples thoughts on the new format changes. U7 - 3 v 3 No Keepers U8 & U9 - 5v5 (12 v 6 Goals) U10 & U11 - 7v7 (12 v 6 Goals) How will this effect the progress of Goalkeepers. Will the first season help the keepers with their kicking when the eventually start playing in the goals as U8 or will it delay the people wanting to be keepers and in theory they would be a full season behind in game play and experience when they start. Will the U11's be better off playing 7v7 for an extra year in the smaller goals or will it effect their progress. What are other peoples thoughts

@Finley Perkins I get the philosophy behind the changes but asa parent I wouldn't be happy to travel every weekend to play 3 v 3 especially as a lot of teams are not entertaining it so the standard of football will not be good enough to benefit the kids. No goals and no goalkeepers so howwill that help the keepers come U8

@Xavier Stark Clubs cannot afford extra coach's plus the inflatable pitch's required not to mention the space

Scoring a Brace from GK
Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas it’s been a busy time for us! None stop work for myself and none stop training for Jerome including the Christmas Cup tournament Jerome’s Sunday team enter each year. Started out fantastically well, 7 points from the first 3 games for the lads to crumble and take 0 points from the last 3 games 🫣⚽️ However was a first for Jerome SCORING a BRACE! ⚽️⚽️ Long route one football, where the balls been aloud to bounce and gone straight in the net! Not once But TWICE in the same Game! That’s Jerome’s biggest achievement over the festive period. What’s everyone else been up to?

Well Done
1st game back with a win against Wolves 🧤
Lennox loved being back at it today. Saves, communication and distribution. He was kept busy which was good considering the weather. Oh and what a glove to kit match

The best ground AND Facilities to see by far is Tottenham Hotspurs. That is unique not only with the retractable pitch, the 4G surface and multiple Corporate suites but the Trip up to the Roof and around the Golden Cockerel plus the Abseil from the top of the roof and also the F1 Go Kart Track under the pitch too.
