This is exactly why I continue to do J4K. For over 25 years now, J4K has inspired goalkeepers of all ages — from 5-year-olds just starting their journey, right through to legends like Paul Davies, still playing strong at over 70 years old.

First of all, what an incredible inspiration Paul is — to still be captaining at international level beyond 70 shows the true power of passion for goalkeeping. And when someone with over 60 years of playing experience says J4K are the best goalkeeper gloves he’s ever worn, you know those words carry real weight.

Thank you, Paul, not only for trusting J4K but also for continuing to inspire the goalkeeper community worldwide.

As promised photos of the recent over 70s international against England. Sorry no action photos or videos

I was captain of Celtic Nations over 70s. Over the course of the day we played three times against England over 70s, games being of shorter duration at our age . The results being two 1-0 wins to England and a 2-0 win to Celtic Nations. All games were played in the right spirit, with the England team being well drilled and competitive, playing excellent football. For the Celtic Nations it was the first time we'd played together as a team, so took great pride in how well we did.

I as always in competitive match wore my choice of match gloves, J4K, I've been wearing these for about two years. Getting a bit worn now but still excellent. I can honestly say they are the best gloves I've worn in over 60 years of playing, that includes big brand names
