Although Steven answered this for us on last night show of The Logistics Lounge (shameless plug 😁) I want your feedback.
I had a customer who against all my advice use TQL. He had an incident last week where a box-truck with his product turned over & most of the product was damaged. Now the truck was drivable & they did deliver what product was still good.
My custy of course wants to file a claim but TQL says they must pay the freight bill before they do anything for them.
Our process where I am at is that every thing comes to a halt until the claim is done with & I don't bill the custy for that load until then. We do it as a precaution in case the insurance doesn't pay out then at least we can help them some what with not paying for the shipment.
What's your thoughts, processes, etc???
