Your window is open. Can you feel it?
Today is the most important day of your life.
Opportune moments have a sense to them. We don't always know where this sense comes from but we can feel it through experience, instinct, and intuition. It's rarely dramatic. It's a subtle shift in the air, in your perspective, in your emotions. A quiet voice whispering a message you can't ignore. You can't quite tell if it's coming from you or from around you. All you know is you can sense it.
Something in you recognizes that what is happening, or what's about to happen, matters more than usual. The conversation you're about to have. The decision you need to make. The line you've drawn. The change you're going through. The leadership you're providing.
You're in a critical window. You can feel it. If you're self-aware. If you're disciplined.
Are you paying enough attention to recognize those signals?
A lot of people don't. They manage the clock, stay in their routines, and fill their time with whatever appeals to them. The signals get lost and opportune moments get buried under busyness. The window opens and closes without them ever knowing it was there.
Training yourself to recognize opportune moments starts with slowing your awareness, not your pace. You don't need to move slower. You need to notice more and act more decisively.
Ask yourself regularly: What discipline does this moment deserve? Is something possible right now that won't be possible later? Is someone in front of me who needs more than my routine attention?
This sharpens your recognition of opportune moments the more you do it.
When the answer is yes, you'll know. The only thing left is to act on it decisively. Not partially. Not cautiously. With all the discipline the moment deserves.
Make the leap. Do the work.
