Hi everyone,
I'm taking on my first boxer, which is the only professional female boxer from my country, so I want to make sure her experience is great.
A few things I'm not on top of.
- How would you structure the cardio training in here VS how you do it for a MMA athlete. Does it change a lot because of duration and frequency of rounds isn't the same and how much of it is done on the pads / heavy bag VS a bike for example. I'd like to have this set up with her boxing coach and hopefully have good collaboration with him.
2. Her training history is low and like many combat athletes, is littered with a lot of ,,boxing specific'' exercises, so she is not 100% bought in (the gym I work for is offering her S&C by me as I take care of the MMA guys). With her training age being low there isn't much that should be out of normal GPP, but what are some key differences you make for MMA / Boxing?
