Tried my first F45 Training Playoff format today and tracked both rounds:
โก๏ธ Round 1: 327 pts
โก๏ธ Round 2: 331 pts
Biggest takeawayโฆ
Going all out doesnโt always mean better results.
Round 1, I came in HOT ๐ฅRound 2, I came in SMART ๐ง
I paced myself, controlled my breathing, and focused on moving efficiently through all 10 stations:
Rowing โ Bench Hops โ Push-Up Knee Tucks โ Lateral Hops โ Burpee + Box Jump โ Chin-Ups (skipped intentionally) โ Squat & Press โ Russian Twists โ Deadball Over Shoulder Throw โ Shuttle Sprint + Lateral Hops
๐ I strategically skipped chin-ups to reserve my energy so I could perform stronger on Squat & Press and the final stations and it paid off.
Lesson learned: Itโs not about going beast mode from the startโฆItโs about managing your energy so you donโt gas out halfway.
Funny moment of the day ๐
10am trainingโฆ crickets ๐ฆIt started as just me and Coach Bobby (hello nerves ๐ณ 1:1 training!)
Then two more ladies showed up after warm-up and I was likeโฆ okay, I can breathe now ๐
Coach Bobby said: โNot bad for your first time.โIโll take that ๐ช
Takeaway: Strategy > SpeedControl > Chaos
You donโt need to go all outโฆYou need to go in with a plan.
Question:Have you ever performed better by pacing yourself instead of going all out? ๐
