Not-So-Perfect Monday 🎢✨ (But Still Aligned)
Took the day off and had a Disneyland 🎂 birthday date with my partner. And yes… we went with the flow.
He wanted cottage cheese pancakes at our favorite breakfast spot — so we did it.
I had:
• 3 cottage cheese pancakes with fresh strawberries
• 2 eggs
• 2 black coffees + 3 vanilla creamers
Did I fully “plan”?
Kind of. But not really. 😂
I was still so full that I skipped lunch. Had one snack — mango chili fruit jerky — and by dinner I was still feeling it.
Good thing I had already prepped my Thai Kaprow bison & turkey 🙌🏼
Paired it with:
• Pickled daikon & carrots
• 1 egg
• Chili paste
End of day protein: 91g
Goal: higher.
And guess what?
I’m too full to force more food. So I’m not.
What am I going to do?
➡️ Move on.
➡️ Let it go.
➡️ Enjoy the memory.
Old Lena would have:
• Felt guilty
• Beat herself up
• Hit the gym extra hard the next day to “make up” the calories
• Restricted food
• Been miserable
New Lena? Not anymore.
No punishment workouts.
No shame.
No spiraling.
And I still closed my rings.
Ended my day at 19,283 steps (7.5+ miles) walking Disneyland. 🎢✨
This week I’ll tighten nutrition a bit — maybe trim 50–100 calories, add a few extra steps, recovery with sleep, and refocus on hitting protein consistently.
But today?
Today was life.
Progress isn’t perfection — it’s emotional maturity around food.
And that’s the real win. 💙🔥
