Lent began on Wednesday. I grew up in a Catholic family, and on Fridays during lent we don't eat meat (seafood doesn't count). Though my husband isn't Catholic and we attend a church that is a different denomination of Christianity, I decided I wanted to continue this tradition as an adult. That being said, I feel really prepared this year with non-meat protein options thanks to this group!
This evening, I am super excited to share a picture of my meal with you guys. This is what a Maryland style crab cake looks like, and it is soooooo goooood.
According to Google this 8oz crab cake has 372 calories, 48.5g protein, 18g fat, 12g carbohydrates. Paired it with a baked potato and asparagus and made sure to account for the butter and cooking oils. I was not able to finish all this. I am super full.
