"Right" vs "Wrong" Methodologies
I've been interning with Danny for about 4 weeks now. We've discussed plenty on different training methodologies and training styles. Many individuals swear by method "x", "y" or "z", and claim that their training method is the "right" way. This just isn't the case. Danny is a big advocate for playing live and creating SSG's for his athletes, but I've seen him do a lot of on-air training, skill development, and most importantly, shooting mechanic breakdowns. If a player doesn't have a certain skill, like ball handling or shooting, will a SSG, instead of breaking down and teaching, be beneficial for that athlete? I don't think so. It's really important to LEARN on your own and to use YOUR OWN ideas when it comes to training. Be creative and don't stick to one "method".
