Do you consider foul baiting a skill
Working with a lot of young players these days, I’ve noticed an increase in foul baiting. I understand where it comes from kids are watching the NBA and see players using it to their advantage at the highest level. However, it raises an important question: how do we teach young athletes the essence of the game while addressing behaviors like foul baiting?

This is a fire question Serge! I think it is a skill because it can lead to points and getting some of the other teams players out of the game!
Do you agree?!?!?!?
I’m a big believer that kids should play multiple sports instead of specializing early. I know some people disagree and think they should focus on just one. What are your thoughts on this? And if you agree with multi-sport development, which sport do you think translates best to basketball?

My answer is Lacrosse... I think with the same goal in the sports of putting the ball in the net it allows the strategic side of both sports to be similar. When I played lacrosse in high school my coach actually took some of our basketball actions and implemented them in our game plan!

@Serge Chao Amazing answer! I found many athletes I played with and trained run track. They are some of the most athletic people I know!
How would you approach??
Everyone says to elevate your basketball knowledge you must watch film! I completely agree but I am curious what do you guys look for when watching film?

@Joseph Wunder Hit this on the head! Anticipation is essential along with hitting the weight room at least 3x a week!
