Stone 2: Reveal Your Proof 🔎(and VERY raw share 💜)
Our path has moved us from Accessing Your Truth to turning over the next stone, Reveal Your Proof. If you missed the that, you can click on Stone 1: Accessing Your Truth in categories and see related posts. Once you get comfortable with looking inward at emotions, feelings, and starting to really see ourselves, the next step is to provide proof. Our brains are wired to look for evidence AND they're also wired toward a negativity bias to keep us alive. So, we tend to focus more on the negative and less on the positive. BUT we can change that! 🥳 Our beautiful brains can easily be retrained and rewired when we place our attention and energy in different areas. The midlife dip in confidence is real for so many women, but I know you've done so many hard things in your life. 💥 This is a powerful exercise in revealing your proof. 🔎🔎🔎 Sit with paper or a notebook (better if your write rather than type or voice note). Give yourself a few minutes to reflect on what you've done in your life that was hard. ANYTHING at all. Free write that list. Once you've got down everything you can think of, read it out loud. How do you feel? What emotions surfaced? Write that down. let yourself feel them and don't bypass anything. You may think of more and want to add them- that's normal. Add them. Now I want you to read this list aloud every day for a week. Notice how the feelings and emotions might change. Record this daily for a week and see what it reveals. 🤍🤍🤍 I'm going to share my list below with you. I've never shared this with anyone before so it's in the raw and vulnerable space. In no particular order: - Natural birth x2 and pulled my daughter out myself - 2 miscarriages between my kids - Still active at 51 (snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, etc.) - Long health journey with EBV (hormone issues, Epstein Barr Virus, Lyme, and Covid) - Addressing my trauma/ taking ownership and responsibility for my life - Went away to college knowing that my parents couldn't help me financially - Got divorced from college sweetheart after 6+ years because I evolved and that relationship wasn't serving me - Got remarried. - Worked through marital ups and downs - Started multiple businesses (some very successful and some not but I learned so much from the failures)  - Moved a bunch of times and started over - Asked for a raises in my consulting business because I knew my worth - Chose myself when no one else was supporting me - Forgave people who've hurt or betrayed me - Let people go that weren't good for me - Faced and integrated my shadows - Pivoted away from what was comfortable and familiar, and what I was professionally known for to dive into something completely different and authentic to me - Biggest: Faced one of my biggest fear- being honest and vulnerable w/parents
