If your mind has ever gone to a dark place while building your business, read this.
I want to share something personal today.
There was a time in my life when things felt really heavy. I remember driving on the highway and having intrusive thoughts about crashing my car because life felt like it had no meaning.
But something inside me still cared enough not to.
Even though I didn’t care about my life in that moment, I cared about the people around me. And that stopped the thought in its tracks.
Looking back now, I understand everything is energy, I see it differently.
That wasn’t truly me.
It was the energy I was in.
Almost like being dropped into a town you never meant to visit.
And I see this happen to entrepreneurs all the time and I have felt it myself.
When you’re building something online, it can feel lonely.
You question yourself.
You wonder if it’s even working.
You carry so much on your shoulders.
And sometimes your mind can take you to really dark places.
But here’s something I’ve learned.
Those thoughts aren’t always telling the truth.
Sometimes they’re just signposts telling you the energy you’re in isn’t supportive.
You’re just in the wrong town or the upside down like in "Stranger Things."
And the great thing is…
You don’t have to stay there.
There are always signs pointing somewhere better:
• being around people who get what you’re going through
• learning how to calm your nervous system
• remembering why you started (this has kept me going)
• reconnecting with yourself again
Small changes.
Moment by moment.
Choice by choice.
That’s actually one of the reasons I created Embody Her Glow.
It’s a space for women navigating anxiety, hormones, and the emotional ups and downs of life and business to come back to themselves again.
To remember they’re not broken.
Sometimes they’ve just been trying to build their life while stuck in the wrong energy.
And together we start following the signs that lead somewhere better.
If you’ve ever felt this while building your business, I’m curious:
What has been the hardest part of the journey for you lately?
You might be surprised how many of us have been in that same town before. 💛
