I’m over 40, I’ve been dealing with ADHD my whole life, and I’m just tired of that "mental freeze" where I know exactly what I need to do, but I just can’t make myself move.
I’m a counselor, and I’ve spent years studying this stuff, but some days the overwhelm still wins. I realized I was spending most of my energy just trying to organize the chaos in my head instead of actually doing the work. It makes me feel like I’m failing, even though I know better.
I ended up building a simple web tool for myself called the Executive Engine. It’s basically just a place to do a massive brain dump when the noise gets too loud. It helps me categorize the mess and find the very first step so I can stop spinning my wheels and actually get started. I put it in the classroom of my Skool group for anyone who wants to use it. I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here; I just needed something that worked for my own brain and figured some of you might be in the same boat.
Ps. My community is for Men Over 40 With ADHD.
