I started Connected Through Play because I kept seeing caring parents and grandparents overwhelmed by pressure. The pressure to manage behavior, limit screens, and make sure kids were “learning enough.”
As a single mom who homeschooled two children, I learned something different: connection is not separate from learning, it is the learning. Some of our most meaningful moments happened while cooking, playing, talking, or simply being curious together.
Professionally, I’m a learning engineer and gamification strategist, and the science backs this up: children learn best through curiosity, relationship, and everyday experiences not constant control or correction.
I created this community to bring together adults who want a calmer, more human way forward where play, conversation, and connection replace pressure, and learning grows naturally in real life.
