Did you get out for a walk this weekend?

On Friday, I went for a lovely walk at Haughmond Hill, as it’s finally cooled off here in the UK for now! It was fairly quiet given that it’s half-term for the schools here, but we did get there for just after 9am to beat the crowds.

On the way back, we stopped off at the ruins of Haughmond Abbey, which is a medieval abbey from the 12th century. It was closed during Henry VIII’s Dissolution of the Monateries in 1539.
