Minky and I were on our usual walk.

We always stop at this patch of blackberry bushes.

She’s become a total addict, nose-deep in the lower branches, munching away like a forager in a fur coat. (Yes, I’ve created a blackberry-eating monster.)

Anyway. I’m usually extra careful around those wild bushes.

I've had run-ins before. I know how sneaky those thorns can be.

And still — I don’t even know how it happened...

One second, I was reaching for the juiciest berry, the next, I was tangled, scratched, and ambushed.

I walked away with a few scars.

𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀.

But also, this reminder I want to share with you:

𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡’𝗧 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚.

They’re proof we showed up.
