A Client has had a terrible time lately with gout flare-ups, and his physician's response is higher and higher doses of prednisone to mitigate discomfort. Nothing has been done to potentially address causation (beyond the typical nutritional guidelines) or to explore better ways to prevent or manage acute onset, other than pharmaceuticals - which opens a plethora of other cans of worms, especially long term.
I can't help but think that certain peptides might serve him better in managing his acute episodes or even more systemically? He is already taking BPC-157 orally for his acid reflux, which works magic for him, and is open to exploring others.
Recently, I came across a few papers that reference studies on "rice-derived polypeptide" (RDP2), which have shown promise in treating hyperuricemia and gout attacks. However, I can't seem to locate information on whether this is something that is available and/or how successful it has proven to be, if so? Does anyone have insight on this?
Besides that, other considerations that come to mind for me are KPV, VIP, and/or maybe TA1, GHK-Cu?
On the supplementation end of things, the known players: Curcumin, Ginger, Bromelain, Quercetin, Krill Oil, Magnesium Glycinate, B-Complex?
Gratitude in advance for any feedback and ideas shared so he can get started on a small protocol.🙏
