Struggling with Dips? Here's What Helped Me Go from 5 to 10 Reps
I used to max out at 5 dips, and my progress was stuck for weeks. Here’s what made the difference for me:
1. Grease the Groove:
I started doing 2–3 sets of submaximal dips (about 3 reps) throughout the day, just to build volume without fatigue.
2. Focus on Form:
I realized I was leaning too far forward. Once I kept my chest up and controlled the tempo, I felt the difference immediately.
3. Supporting Exercises:
I added bench dips and negative dips after my main sets to strengthen the range.
Now I'm hitting 10 clean reps, and aiming for 20 next!
