Today I decided to wear a sample I’ve had for quite some time. Weather was cool and windy, hitting low 60s today so I wanted something for warmer weather. 🗽Liberty Island launched in 2016. It’s a fresh gourmand inspired by New York’s Liberty Island and the Statue of Freedom. It's positioned as a lively summer scent. In the top there’s mandarin orange, bergamot, and black currant for a citrusy opening. In the heart orange blossom and jasmine. The base holds marshmallow and musk for a soft, sweet, clean dry down. Performance was mid at 4-5 hours overall. I noticed 2 hours of projection, settling into a skin scent for the remainder of my wear. Overall it’s a fresh citrus, evolving into a sweet, creamy orange blossom that's gourmand leaning thanks to the marshmallow note, finished with clean musk. I’d describe it as a soft, dessert-ish scent like melting marshmallow. Think D&G Light Blue 2025 with marshmallows. This would be good for warm weather/summer wear. It’s well blended; versatile, unisex leaning feminine. If you like sweet, fresh gourmands this is a solid pick for daytime or casual wear in heat. Easy blind buy if you're into that profile, but sample first if you're sensitive to sweetness or prefer a more masculine profile.

Trying out an official sample today for work. This feels like crisp luxury. A reimagined Aventus DNA with a lighter, fresher spin. Instead of smoky pineapple and heavy birch tar, it opens with mandarin orange, bergamot, spicy ginger, pink pepper, and cool spearmint. It’s bright, zesty, and uplifting. The mid has vetiver, patchouli, creamy sandalwood, and airy ozonic notes, making it clean and modern. The base settles into musk, slight subtle leather, warm tonka, and dry cedar for a powdery woody, skin like finish that's discreet. It’s versatile, perfect for spring/summer, office, or casual. It's less harsh than original Aventus, with a polished, sunny freshness. While it’s an EDP it’s designed as a cologne style fragrance. It projects for 2-3 hours before becoming a skin scent. Longevity hits 6 hours on skin, but would likely be better on clothes. Overspraying could also help, but it seems it's tame by intent. Overall it’s classy, refined, and sophisticated. Good if you want refinement over power. Works for daily wear, but it's built for elegance, not projection.
