Launched in 2013, it’s a woody aromatic with a fresh, fruity twist; a softer, more polite take on pineapple forward scents like Creed Aventus. It opens juicy and invigorating with pineapple, bergamot, and juniper berries for a sweet, fresh punch with a slight herbal edge. It moves into a subtle currant greenness, then dries down to a clean, woody base with cedar, vetiver, and moss/musk. It’s uplifting, sophisticated, and not overpowering. Good projection initially that settles to a pleasant skin scent. On my skin it fades at four hours to subtle while wearing indoors. Classy, modern, versatile everyday quality. Great for spring/summer, office, or casual. It’s masculine but not aggressive. If you enjoy fresh, fruity woody scents with a clean, confident profile you will enjoy this one. It is one of Bond No. 9's better releases, but performance may be an issue. Definitely sample if pineapple and woods appeals.

Just over a week of wears here in the Arizona desert. We’ve had classic early spring Phoenix weather with cool mornings in the upper 50s/low 60s warming quickly into the mid-80s and even low 90s most afternoons. Lots of sun, dry air, and big temperature swings, which makes it easy to rotate between fresher daytime scents and deeper evening ones. Rotation this past week: Neptune’s Trident, Absolu Aventus, Pacific Chill, Carnival – Ferris Wheel Sunset, Les Sables Roses, Dragon, The Oracle, Blue Talisman, The Oracle, and Red Fever. Neptune’s Trident has really become a favorite for both the gym and the “spring” heat of AZ, and it just works here. Pacific Chill and Blue Talisman handled the warm afternoons well, while Dragon and Les Sables Roses were great once the sun dropped. Absolu Aventus and Red Fever ended up being my church scents on back to back Sundays. I’m actually layering these (Red Fever Body Butter and 1 spray on back of neck, then layering Absolu Aventus) Zaharoff The Oracle also arrived Thursday. I wore it Friday and again Saturday night for a date. That will tell you a little about how much I enjoy this one so far, but I’ll cover more on that later. Would love to see more folks post these.
