This is my opinion and not going to bother you with what Fragrantica’s web site has about this scent.
In prior posts I wrote about my visit to a niche perfume store here in Mexico City.
Then while roaming around the store, I heard another client asking if they had The Triumph of Bacchus, the owner went to another area and showed him a lot of fragrances on display from this perfume house called Argos, I was eavesdropping around as it immediately caught my attention.
The first thing when I smelled it from the bottle was the rum, a deep, warm, and just the right amount of sweetness. Then I tried it on my arm, and suddenly perceived the apple, crisp, clean, a sharp contrast that added a fresh edge.
As time passed, the tobacco came through. Very smooth but it grounded everything and just under it all, vanilla, which made it smooth and warm.
There are Eau de Parfum and extrait. I bought the extrait. As I loved this perfume.
I had to have it, and I have received a lot of compliments when I use it.
