SOTD/Review: Rayhaan Terra (Sample)
Where do I start with this, quite tricky to break down with the huge amount of notes in it, will try my best. This is inspired by Amouage Outlands, I haven’t tried it so can’t compare so going on my impression of thjs alone.
This opens with a vibrant hit of cardamom, elemi, Sichuan pepper, lemon, and bergamot, giving a spicy-citrus spark that feels both bright and exotic.
As it moves into the heart, the scent turns richer and more textured with patchouli, anise, cumin, coriander, saffron, geranium, rose, and orange blossom, creating a deep, slightly smoky aromatic warmth.
The dry-down is where this truly settles into its identity - frankincense, vanilla, amber, oud, benzoin, birch, labdanum, and musk form a resinous, warm, incense-woody base that lingers well.
Longevity is strong at 6+ hours, with bold projection in the first few hours before softening into a smooth, atmospheric aura.
Overall rating: 7.7/10. Not usually my type of scent, kind of out of my comfort zone with these types of scents but I need to branch out and experience more fragrances I wouldn’t usually wear but once this dries down like I said above, it finds its identity. Smells kind of addictive so for what it is, it’s been very well done. To sum this up, it feels earthy, confident and mysterious - perfect for evenings or cooler weather.
Would I buy a bottle?? Quite possibly, it’s not something I would use daily, special occasion more for me.
