SOTD Zimaya (Afnan) Daiman Eclipse

1. The Notes

Daiman Eclipse is built on a sharp contrast between an airy, clean opening and a dense, masculine base.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Nutmeg

Middle Notes: Violet Leaf, Amber, Musk

Base Notes: Patchouli, Labdanum (which gives a slight leathery feel), Vetiver

2. What it Clones / Inspires

This fragrance is heavily inspired by Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Giò Elixir / ADG Profumo.

It captures that signature, dark, upscale marine/mineral DNA, but with a unique twist. While Profumo relies on a heavy smoky incense note, Zimaya replaces that smoke with violet leaf and labdanum. The result is about 85% Acqua Di Giò Profumo/Elixir mixed with a 15% touch of a classic green-metallic leather (reminiscent of the violet-leather accord in Dior Fahrenheit). It gives you the vibe of a fresh sea breeze blowing over warm, ambery driftwood without any harsh "church incense" smokiness.

3. Season & Versatility

Season: All-year-round, but it absolutely shines in Spring, Summer evenings, and Fall. The citrus and violet leaf handle the heat well, while the heavy base notes keep it from fading when the temperature drops.

Versatility: Incredibly high. It feels very clean, sharp, and corporate. It smells like "success in a bottle," making it perfect for office wear, professional settings, daily use, or a signature scent. It might feel a bit too dressed-up or serious for a casual gym session, but it easily transitions into a night-out scent.

4. Longevity & Sillage

Longevity: Moderate to Long-Lasting (6 to 8 hours). For a fresh-leaning profile, the patchouli and amber base give it solid staying power. You can easily get a full workday out of it, especially if you catch your clothes.

Sillage: Moderate. It opens with a decent push for the first hour and a half, throwing out a very clean, attractive scent trail. After that, it settles into a dense, sophisticated personal bubble that people will definitely catch when they step into your space.

It is a smooth, high-quality "freshie with depth" that avoids the typical harsh opening of cheaper clones.
