SOTD: YSL Y Iced Cologne

The newest additions to the Y line and a very hyped one at that. Got this yesterday as a present from my wife.

It starts out with a cool mint note. Not a fresh smelling mint more of a chilled mint. It’s hard to explain but not a normal mint you’d find in other frags. I’m pretty sure the ice note is non existent or a fantasy note because to open is dominated by mint with a touch of aromatics.

In the mid the mint still dominates but it’s not as chilling as before.

I can actually smell the patchouli in this frag unlike many other I have where it’s overpowered by other notes. Ultimately this is a great mass appealing frag. The claim by YSL that it lasts 12 hours is bogus. I got 6.5-7 hours total longevity with the first 4 hours giving a modest projection of 2 feet. After that it was much closer to the skin.

I do like this one a lot and it might dethrone my favorite Y EDP from the top YSL spot. Only time will tell.
