SOTD - YSL MYSLF L'Absolu

Stopped into Sephora at Kohls yesterday to get my nose on a few scents (specifically Burberry Hero Elixir - really nice, BTW) and after it all, wound up getting the 10ml travel size MYSLF L'Absolu. Now, MYSLF EDP is one of my top fragrances and I've smelled L'Absolu before but always thought from the quick store samples that it was redundant (and the price point is kind of ridiculous). Something in my brain (or nose) clicked this time and being they had the travel size I said to myself "Let's give it a real shot". (And at checkout I found out I had a $10 off coupon which made the purchase more palatable). I'm really glad I did - there's just an extra smoothness in the L'Absolu that isn't in the EDP and the ginger note gives it that extra something special with the DNA of the EDP definitely there. Performance seems way better on me than the EDP. So far, this one could move ahead of the EDP for me. Full bottle worthy? Once it hits discounters - yes.

On a side note - I tried this against a decant I have of it's dupe, Dumont Nitro Elixir. And the Dumont doesn't hold a candle to the original.
