I picked this up maybe mid October last year, so it was still a new release. Spicebomb was already a favourite of mine, but I guess my nose was still in kintergarden. I remember blind buying this and not liking it. Perhaps I was expecting more frrom it along the lines of the extreme. So I left it on my shelf for a long time. Fast forward several months. My collection has grown rapidly, & so to has my experience. I think my nose has developed alot and Ive been exposed to many different variations of leather notes. This is actually a solid fragrance, there have been claims of issues with performance, ive even thought it projected quite poorly, but add some heat and the scent activates. I first noticed this in the gym. Wear it on a warm day and you should notice the difference.
Created by perfumers Carlos Benaïm, Jean-Christophe Hérault & released last year. Dark Lleather is a fresh spicey/Leather scent. It still has that peppery dna of the OG Spicebomb that I love but there is an additional Smokey/inscense infused leather added. Top notes are that Black Pepper & nutmeg. Cinnamon & Frankenscense take up the middle ground with a beautiful Black Leather & tobacco at its base.
This is a fragrance that deserves alot more love than it gets. So now my only beef with Victor & Rolf is WTF did they discontinue Infrared edt & why is it so bloody hard to get the edp? Oh and hurry up already and get the Metalic Musk on the shelves. Ive been patiently waiting all year for it.
Appologies for the rant. But seriously, this is something Im gonna make an effort to wear more often. Its probably no where near Ombre, ill have to get a bottle and do a comparison but it is solid. I love the leather band around the bottle too. Its a nice touch.
