Good day gents!
Today, going for freshness. As usual, rather warm today, although a bit cloudy.
I had been after a decant of GNTONIC for quite some time, until I managed to snag one on my last decant haul. It's an incredibly fresh fragrance, very true to the name. Smells like a very high-end gin tonic, just like the note breakdown also suggests.
On the opening, I get a blast of the peppermint, ginger and tonic water. I don't feel the lime or pepper really. To be honest, even when drying down, I don't feel it changing most, if I had to nitpick, I would say yes, the opening fades just a tad, to make space for the woods and vetiver to come out and play, just a little bit.
Performance is on the weaker side on me.
I find the scent to be very enjoyable, and liked it very much. However, it fell a bit short for me, as it wasn't exactly what I expected. It's boozier/gin-er than I thought, which may have affected.
However, if you like white liquor/gin, this one may be exactly for you!
I will enjoy the decant for sure, but wouldn't get a full bottle personally. Just didn't end up being 100% for me.
