Lazy Sunday Morning was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is English perfumer Louise Turner, whom is probably best known for most of the bad boy/Good Girl releases. Lazy Sunday Morning, we dont really need to explain this one, as I think the name perfectly captures its intended mood. Its a Fresh/floral edt scent designed to evoke the feeling of waking up in clean, crisp bed sheets on a tranquil Sunday. Its super fresh.
The fragrance opens with a burst of aldehydes, which give it a clean, fresh, and slightly soapy quality, reminiscent of freshly laundered cotton. The lily of the valley adds a delicate, bright, and pure floral note. There are also Pear & Ambrette Seed notes listed. Whats not listed is the healty dose of Ambroxan im getting here. As the fragrance settles, the iris comes forward, providing a luxurious, powdery, and skin-like effect. The Rose Absolute & Orange flower add a soft, elegant floral bouquet. Finally, the white musks blend & ambrette seeds create a warm, sensual, and comforting dry-down that feels like soft, sun-warmed skin. The touch of Indonesian Patchouli Oil adds a subtle earthiness to the base.
So being completly honest, this is not my usual vibe, im much more into the darker, steonger Winter type scents. That said, I am stangely enjoying this one. Its COZY & nostalgic in its own right. As an edt, I dont expect much, but this is suprisingly punching well above its weight. Lasting longer than Jazz club. I had a similar effect with 'When the Rain Stops'. Performance is a good 6 hours on skin with projection at arms lenght for the first 2hrs. Im impressed with this. Would I add it to my collection? Most likely, it certainly has a place & use.
