SOTD: Eternity Summer Daze by Calvin Klein

I can only thank our estemmed brother @George Hernandez for sending me down the rabbit hole that is the Calvin Klein range

With a shared love for Obsession and now an interest in the Eternity line. Summer daze is my second bottle in the line to date, & probably wont be the last. Its a limited edition edt from 2022, created by perfumer Jacques Huclier. Interestinly going through the notes i spoted something from the Givaudan company. Ive noticed that these mofo's seem to be behind more & more fragrance as My knowledge increases. Many of the top designer fragrances were created by this company or by one of their perfumers.Bit thats a topic for another day.

What I love about tis one is its a pleasant, easy to wear scent, perfect for warmer weather. Its said to have been designed to trgger that feeling of a relaxed summer holiday by the sea. It's classified as a woody aromatic fragrance with a distinct fresh/aquatic character. It opens up with that increasingly popular Mandarin Oil. Giving it a citrus, kumquat style vibe. The middle notes give a rather plesant Lavender/mint combo for a cooling, aromatic heart. Then the drydown settles into Calypsone, Patchouli & woody notes, giving it some masculine depth. Fun fact, Calypsone is a synthetic molecule by Givaudan. It smells ozonic, like sea breeze, with fruity watermelon nuances.

Summer Daze is Ideal for daytime wear, especially during spring & summer activities. It got that classic Calvin Klein performance of average. No suprises there. 4 or 5 hours of longevity before becoming a skin scent. Projection is rather weak too. Its aquatic & citrus notes make it a great pick-me-up in high heat. As long as you are only paying €20 to €30 max your getting a really good scent. A nice pick up, ill be watching out for more in the line.
