Another higher end release from AAM, Bombay Oud is a woody/ floral scent, said to capture the rich, exotic, and bustling spirit of Mumbai (formerly Bombay). It's sold as a luxury fragrance and costs a bit more than what you would normally expect to pay for an ME fragrance. To be completely honest, I was expecting more spice in this one, not quite Curry, but something more Indian than an Arab woody oud mixture.

It starts of with a bright, zesty opening. Sicilian orange provides a fresh, slightly tangy burst, which is complemented by the sweetness of the rose. The heart introduces a blend of creamy woodiness, subtle fruit with refined warmth. The sandalwood is the main player, smooth, comforting, and grounding texture. The pear adds an unexpected, juicy, sweet lightness, preventing the heart from becoming too heavy. The leather note adds an earthy, masculine depth. The dry-down is deep and super long-lasting. The Oud Accords are warm, earthy, and slightly mysterious presence without being overly harsh or challenging This is cushioned by the warm, resinous richness of Amber and the sweet, vanilla-like coziness of Benzoin. Musk adds a clean, lasting foundation.

Performance as you would expect is very good, I'm talking a solid 7 hrs. It creates a noticeable and enveloping scent bubble that commands attention, making it perfect for special occasions or a night out. Ideal for cooler weather. Note a fan of rose/oud combos, but this one is rather good. My only gripe was the lack of an Indian influence here, I was really expecting something with spice,so that was a bit of a letdown. Change the name too something like Arabian Nights and you might have a winner here
