SOTD - A Whiff of Waffle Cone by Imaginary Authors

So. Got a day ahead of household chores. I decided to try out another fragrance from my Imaginary Authors discovery set: A Whiff of Waffle Cone.

It's been on my skin for an hour, and I've a) ordered a bottle, and b) ordered a bottle of the limited edition flanker, Dipped in Chocolate.

This stuff is INCREDIBLE. The opening is a sweet gourmand delight, packed with maple syrup and caramel and burnt sugar and stroopwaffle. And yes, I know caramel basically IS burnt sugar, but that's beside the point. There's also a slightly deeper spicy underpinning, likely sandalwood or even cardamom, which slaps hard. After an hour, the scent has calmed slightly into a delicious creamy vanilla, still with the waffle vibe, caramel core and understated spicy base..

And it's strong! After application, I hemmed and hawed about purchasing, popping it in my cart before deciding to see if my wife had any strong feelings either way (she was still in bed at this time). When she rose from her slumbers, she immediatey asked what the gorgeous smell was, claimed she was ravenous, and gave the matrimonial thumbs up to any purchase I'd care to make.

Basically, this projected so hard it woke my wife, who then demanded pancakes.

I'm looking forward to getting the full presentation of this and Dipped in Chocolate. Best in house, not close, no notes.

(What's that you're saying? That it's hardly a surprise that a man on a weight loss journey and diet has reacted so viscerally to a scent that makes him smell like a dessert? Oh, hush yourself.) 😀🍦
