Good Morning Brotherhood it is a cool blustery morning here in Chicago but we’re supposed to climb into the mid 70s as the day progresses. For my scent of the day I wanted something out of the norm that I haven’t worn before. As the weather changes I’ve been acquiring new fragrances in preparation for the seasonal transition.
Today I wanted something green, fresh, earthy yet slightly floral and 104 Terra Hedera by Bon Parfumeur checked all those boxes for me. It opens very green and earthy with a subtle citrus touch, but even from the start there is noticeable depth to the composition. As it transitions into the mids it develops this floral spicy character with incense quietly moving through the background while soft aquatic nuances peek through. In the dry down it becomes woody, earthy, and resinous while still holding on to those florals and spices that give it personality.
This fragrance honestly feels like the transition from winter into spring in the Windy City. It’s grounded and natural feeling, yet still carries a level of complexity that keeps you engaged throughout the wear. Projection has been fantastic at around 6 feet and the sillage bubble has been rejuvenating as it moves in soft wafts throughout the morning. Five hours in and it is still performing very well on my skin. Right now I comfortably give this fragrance an 8.5 with room for improvement.
