Scent of the Evening: Argos Adonis Awakens

Tonight I’m starting my Argos discovery kit with Adonis Awakens. I got excited as soon as I opened the box, took a shower, and went straight in.

On paper the top notes are bergamot, grapefruit, and pink peppercorn, but on my skin the opening comes across very different. I’m getting a lot more floral and fruity right from the start. The Bulgarian rose, jasmine, and raspberry are jumping out immediately, and the whole scent bubble around me feels bright, sweet, and really elegant.

It’s not a citrus blast at the top like you would expect from the note list. Instead it opens with a smooth floral fruity mix, almost like the heart notes are already in the lead. So far I’m liking it a lot and I’m curious to see how the sandalwood and cashmere wood show up in the dry down.

A great start to this discovery kit.
