Replica: Beach Walk by Maison Margiela
Good morning, everyone! After another hot weekend, I finally tried my sample of Beach Walk by Maison Margiela, which comes from my discovery set. I had been saving this one for last, as I had a pretty good idea of how femine it would smell. Here are my thoughts on this fragrance.
Upon first spray, Beach Walk greets you with a strong floral and coconut scent that instantly reminds me of a typical sunblock. The initial impression is a bold sunblock aroma, complemented by a subtle citrus hint. This scent projected nicely off my skin for the first two hours, creating a refreshing aura.
Around the two-hour mark, I began to notice a shift as a musk and light woodiness joined the party, but the original sunblock scent remained prominent throughout the wear.
In terms of performance, Beach Walk delivers a robust projection for the first couple of hours, enveloping you in that nostalgic sunblock aroma. Following that period, the scent becomes more intimate but stays with you for up to six hours, which is quite impressive for a summer EDT.
Overall, I find that Beach Walk evokes a similar vibe to Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, both sharing that sunblock aroma characteristic. However, I must admit that the floral notes in Beach Walk lean a bit too feminine for my personal taste and prevent me from wearing it daily. That said, it would be perfect for vacation days where you're looking to embrace a tropical atmosphere while enjoying the sun. In summary, if you're a fan of sun-inspired fragrances and floral notes, Beach Walk might just be for you.
