Is there any way to sample actual fragrance ingredients?

Basically I'm asking is there any way to get samples of or to go somewhere and try out the actual ingredients that make up the notes of a fragrance? I have a vague idea of amber, Musk, vetiver, cardamom and bergamot etc. smell like when they are already mixed together in a fragrance but is there a way to smell them in their primal form, unmixed? I think that would give me a clearer idea of what the notes actually smell like.
