Head to Head Review - Ralph's Club NY vs. Prada Paradigme

So I picked up two of these new fragrances within the last two weeks and found them to be quite similar. I am going to provide you with a Head to Head review/Comparison and select the winner.

Ralph Lauren Ralph's Club New York opens as a sweet fruity and citrus fragrance. At 15 minutes the citrus has moved on and I am getting some of the floral notes, but the sweetness from the fruit notes is still present. At 30 minutes the scent has softened considerably but I am still picking up some of the fruity sweetness and soft woods. At 60 minutes into the wear I am picking up on the Vanilla notes and also starting to pick up on some of the darker/harsher wood notes. The dry down of this fragrance is sweet but was dissipating quickly off my skin. Performance is fair with the fragrance lasting on my skin about 4-5 hours. Projection is moderate for about 60 minutes with a scent bubble of about 1.5 feet, and Sillage is fair with a scent trail of about an arms length for about 60 minutes as well. This fragrance seemed quite common to my nose.

Prada Paradigme's opening is a slightly creamy sweet citrus. At 15 minutes into the wear some of the sweetness has settled down and I am now starting to pick up some of the floral notes. At 30 minutes I am continuing to smell the sweet floral accords. There is no significant change from the opening. The fragrance is quickly fading off my skin at about 70 minutes. Still quite linear from the opening. The dry down of this fragrance is simply a softer version of the first 2 hours. There was not a lot of change in the scent profile for me which was quite disappointing. Performance was moderate with the fragrance creating a scent bubble of about 2 feet for about 2 hours. Longevity was fair with the fragrance lasting on my skin about 3 to 4 hours. Sillage was good for the first 60 minutes with a scent trail of about 2+ feet. This is definitely not what I have come to expect from Prada fragrances and this new release if quite disappointing.

Neither fragrance really excited me, but if I had to pick a winner between the two I would go with Ralph's Club New York.
