Final Thoughts - Casa Blanca by the House of Bō
Final review on today's wearing of Casa Blanca by the House of Bō (not BO ).
The house is a US fragrance brand, founded by Bernardo Möller, with a proud Mexican heritage that seeks to awaken the senses and create harmony between body and soul through its carefully curated collection of eco-luxe handcrafted scents.
Casa Blanca is a fragrance foundation 2025 awards finalist, and the perfumer is Frank Voelkl. It's described as, "Enter a serene white temple nestled within a coastal field of fig trees and immerse yourself in Casa Blanca’s puriFIGating journey. Experience a fragrant atmosphere that inspires self-reflection and evokes a mindset of understated luxury. Casa Blanca (White House) is an ode to creative arts and effortless elegance, an olfactive representation of House of Bō’s signature DNA, rooted in simplicity, minimalism and spirituality. Casa Blanca is a harmonious blend of creamy minerals with white elements, perfectly textured with exquisite smoky fig notes that make this fragrance a love at first smell."
I posted my initial thoughts earlier, so check that out if you missed it. This transitioned to a warm, vanilla and suede, with these undertones present throughout the wearing. I never really got any oud, and the tobacco while present is barely perceptible. Performance was decent for a lighter fragrance. It projects a few feet for the first couple of hours but calms down to a bubble after that. It lasts around four hours before becoming a skin scent, and at hour six it is faint. I'd probably get a little better performance from the full bottle atomizer, but I did two sprays on each pulse point this morning from the factory sample.
Overall thoughts are that I really enjoy this fragrance. It's clean, well crafted, and luxurious. I think it would perform a little better with temps being somewhat warmer outside, and the brands focus is Miami FL supposedly, so that would make sense. However, the cost ($365 retail for 75 mL) versus performance ROI wouldn't make this one full bottle worthy for me.
This is supposedly similar to Le Labo's Noir 29, and I'll likely get a sample of that to test out.
