Citizen Jack Absolute by Michael Malul

Over the past few days, I've had the pleasure of wearing my new fragrance, Citizen Jack Absolute by Michael Malul, and here are my thoughts.

From the moment I first applied it, Citizen Jack greeted me with a vibrant and refreshing aroma of fresh cantaloupe. It's that delightful, juicy scent you get when slicing into ripe melon, and it's incredibly inviting! A few minutes in, the citrus notes begin to emerge, blending beautifully with the melon. It took me on a nostalgic journey back to my childhood in Mexico, where I'd savor freshly diced melon sprinkled with lime from local fruit vendors. About five minutes in, I noticed the introduction of vanilla—a sweet and creamy addition that balances the fruity opening perfectly. For the first hour, this delightful scent lingers, creating an uplifting aura around me.

As time goes on, the melon scent transforms into a more universal fruity fragrance, reminiscent of a delightful mixed fruit cocktail, enriched by a subtle musky note that gives the aroma an intriguing depth.

In terms of performance, I was pleasantly surprised by its strong projection. For the first two hours, I enjoyed a lovely reach of about two feet, creating a radiant presence. After that, the scent settled closer, within a foot of my skin, lasting impressively for around six hours. I could still catch whiffs of it even at the eight-hour mark, closer to my skin. This scent is perfect for a full day at work.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this fragrance. It worked beautifully with my skin chemistry; however, I must mention that I kept being reminded of my mother's perfume Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi. The real difference is that Kirke opens with a fruity cocktail vibe, and Citizen Jack kicks off with a melon scent. Both are exceptional in their own right, so if you're a fan of Kirke or the Erba Pura DNA, I highly recommend you give Citizen Jack Absolute a try. It's a delightful addition that could easily become a favorite in your collection.
