OWN THE BASICS
Stop majoring in the minors. A lot of people want to have all the answers, try new shiny objects every other week and hope to see results when they can't even get the foundation down. This is a MASSIVE part of my training philosophy. Which every decent coach has, I want to help you BUY IN to my beliefs so you can see the results from the gym that you want. In the classroom there is a whole course with a couple modules in there that will take you 10-15 mins tops to read and take in. I will always continue to touch on these subjects obviously, because they are my beliefs. (Also, at any point if you want to search for something, just type the keyword in the search bar up top and it will take you to anything said about that topic) What are some of your strong beliefs in fitness or even golf? Anything you agree or disagree with? (Also, more golf related content will come once I heal)

Just Keep Swimming
Day 2 of my rebuild. Yesterday was able to get to the gym for the first time in almost 2 months. Working through this injury and now beginning some PT type stuff to strengthen it and my weak links. Today. Extremely sore from the new exercises AND just the workout in general after that much time off. So did the best thing for those muscles. Active Recovery Warmed Up Then completed 5 - 100 meter swims with 1 minute tread in between as rest. Cooled down. That's it. Felt great. Feel loose now and ready to get back in the gym tomorrow for some upper body.

I have a client I see every Monday Tuesday & Wednesday. Mid 50s, unit of a dude. Travels from Tampa to Toronto every single weekend. So they days I see him need to COUNT. We started in February. He knows how to exercise. He knows how to push himself, often too hard. He is 0 or 100. No in between. That's where I, the coach, come in. He was getting a little fluffy and losing muscle mass, so he came to me and I programmed around his hectic schedule. (He's also basically vegan. I couldn't help him there) Monday - Heavy Legs Tuesday - Heavy Upper Wednesday - Full body on what we missed with some high intensity at the beginning. He takes the big sets to failure. Like TRUE FUCKING FAILURE. I'm able to properly get him there on his compounds working through his injuries. He has managed to drop his body fat from 20.7% to 18.6% WHILE adding 4lbs of muscle. In 4 months. This is impressive, especially for his age. Trust the process, get on an actual training program that pushes you, and get the fuck after it. Cheers dorks

Daily Steps & How Much They Matter
Yes & No If you are in a fat loss phase, they can make a major impact. But consistency is key. If you are walking 8-10k a day. Bumping up to 11 or 12 will slowly aid in the extra calorie burn. I would personally (and am currently) bumping up to 15k. This is a significant enough jump to demand more energy from the body aka more calories burned. This is the fastest and most effective way to start really seeing Fat Loss. Simply moving more. But where most fuck it all up is thinking they can add some more calories in. This defeats the whole purpose. The amount of calories actually burned from adding more steps in isn't that significant. But done DAILY will help a lot, just not enough to justify 3 extra Guinnesses and a cookie. How many steps are you all averaging?

Fathers Day
Happy father's day to those of you out there with the lil ones running around! So they motivate you to work harder? I am kidless. I feel if I had a young one, yes I obviously want to be healthy and stick around for them for longer. Yes, show them how to take care of themselves properly. But, hear me out, I don't want them to beat me in anything... Ever. This will make that first time beating me in 21 or wiffleball or footy PKs when they are in their 30s so much more worth it! Thoughts? Also pictured my feelings towards the assault bike this morning. 20 mins - 200 cals at various efforts to start my week off right
