We’ve been talking about expansion this week, as summer is the perfect time to open ourselves to new ideas, opportunities, foods, and even workouts.
While it’s perfectly acceptable to completely take the day off, activities like yoga and/or Pilates are great practices to lean into on rest days.
Why?
Well, for numerous reasons, but one in particular is because they’re expansive. 🧘‍♀️
Yoga and Pilates both require us to open our minds, hearts, and bodies through mindfulness, breath control, posture, and meditation. Again, they’re both very expansive practices – and since we’re scientifically more expansive during the summer months, giving both of these a try this summer is a great healthy habit to begin. ✨
I encourage you to try one of our yoga or Pilates workouts today, especially if you haven’t done so in the past. I’ll post a yoga video in the comments. However, before we get to that, you know what we have to do first…
