Drink Water Before Coffee
We have talked about drinking a quart of water in the morning because of overnight dehydration. Well, this is along those same lines. When you start your day by reaching for coffee before your feet even hit the floor. You cause further dehydration.
When coffee is the first thing that enters an already dehydrated system, it can amplify the body's stress response. Some people notice feeling jittery, anxious, lightheaded, or experiencing an energy crash later in the day.
A simple shift can make a big difference:
✅ Drink 12–16 ounces of water first thing in the morning
✅ Add a small pinch of mineral salt if desired
✅ Then enjoy your coffee
Hydration helps support circulation, digestion, energy production, and healthy nervous system function. It gives your body the resources it needs before asking it to do more work.
It gives your body a gentle wake up call.
Think of it this way: before you stimulate the body, nourish it.
