Live Health Coaching Today at 4:00 PM!
I'd love to see you there! Whether you have questions about your health, are feeling stuck on your healing journey, want guidance on symptoms, supplements, nutrition, nervous system regulation, or just want to stop in and chat with others on the same path—you are welcome. This is an informal, open coaching session where you can ask questions, learn from others, and receive practical guidance in a supportive environment. ✨ No question is too small. ✨ You don't have to be in crisis to come. ✨ Sometimes the best breakthroughs happen from hearing someone else's question. ☕ Grab your favorite drink, hop on, and let's spend some time together. ⏰ Today at 4:00 PM If no one has joined by 4:15 PM, I'll go ahead and close the session, so don't wait too long to pop in! I can't wait to connect with you and support you on your journey toward health freedom.

@Amberley Pennington EMDR is used for complex trauma. It is based in the theory that the brain makes more neural pathways with different activities and can help you normalize traumas. While this is true and it does work, it also works slowly. There are multiple other therapies that use the same process using different activities than eye movement. I trained in EMDR and found I could NOT use the eye movement techniques. So, I trained in other modalities that work as well, and in some cases faster than EMDR. It's amazing what water can do! :)

@Nadya Gilliam There are a couple that I use together that I found work amazingly well that include biophotomodulation and auriculotherapy. I also incorporate neurolinguistic programing and an alternative EMD that a client can do for themselves when needed. I ran a clinic for service members and 1st responders with PTSD for many years and found the combinations work much better and faster.
Wellness Wednesday ~ Gratitude
Practice Gratitude for Your Body Healing isn't always a straight line. Almost daily I speak with someone who is focusing on difficult symptoms and need to explain that the body heals like a roller coaster! When symptoms persist, it's easy to feel frustrated or disconnected from your body. But your body has been working to protect you your entire life. It needs time to adjust to changes, and the more involved your symptoms, the longer the body will take to make those adjustments. Many of the things we call "symptoms" are actually adaptations—your body's attempt to keep you safe, help you survive, and maintain balance in the face of stress, illness, trauma, or overwhelm. Instead of asking:"What's wrong with me?" or "Why is this still happening to me?" Try asking:"What is my body trying to communicate?" That simple shift moves us from fighting our body to partnering with it. Your body is not the obstacle to healing, but rather it is part of the healing process. Today, pause for a moment and offer your body gratitude for all it has carried you through. Sometimes the smallest shift in perspective creates the biggest shift in healing. 👇 Share one thing you're grateful your body has done for you recently.

Food Friday ~ Masticate Slowly! 😉
Ok, I'm running late today! I love big words! 😉 Masticate is a big word for chewing! Chew Your Food Slowly One of the simplest health habits is also one of the most overlooked: slowing down long enough to chew your food. Digestion begins in the mouth. When you chew thoroughly, you mechanically break food into smaller particles while mixing it with digestive enzymes found in saliva. This gives your digestive system a head start and can make the entire process more efficient. Benefits of chewing your food well include: ✅ Improved nutrient absorption ✅ Less bloating and digestive discomfort ✅ Better communication between the gut and brain ✅ Increased feelings of fullness and satisfaction ✅ Reduced likelihood of overeating Many people eat while driving, working, scrolling, or rushing through the day. When we're stressed and eating quickly, the body often stays in a "go, go, go" state instead of shifting into the "rest and digest" state that supports healthy digestion. A simple practice this week: Before swallowing, try chewing each bite a few extra times than you normally would. Put your fork down between bites and notice the taste, texture, and experience of eating. Small habits practiced consistently often create the biggest changes. Do you tend to eat quickly or slowly? What helps you slow down and enjoy your meals?

@Karen Blair That is awesome! When I was in the Army we had to eat really fast. I had to relearn how to eat slowly!
