🙋♀️ Confession time, team...
How many times today have you started a sentence with "Sorry, but..." or "Sorry to bother you..." or my personal favourite, "Sorry, this might be a dumb question..."? Be honest. Count them. I'll wait. ☕ I caught myself apologising to my DOG yesterday for stepping over her. JAZ. She was asleep. She did not require an apology. So here's what I'm sitting with: is the "sorry" actually about something I did? Or is it a tiny insurance policy I'm taking out, just in case you might be annoyed, disappointed, or about to reject me? Quick poll, drop a number in the comments 👇 1️⃣ Less than 5 times a day (teach me your ways) 2️⃣ 5-10 times (relatable) 3️⃣ 10-20 times (👀) 4️⃣ I apologise for existing, next question And the bigger question - when you DO say sorry, is it for something you actually did? Or is it the people-pleaser running ahead of RSD, softening the ground before anyone has a chance to be unhappy with you? - What's your thoughts? Because I'm starting to think those two (Miss RSD and Miss People Pleaser) are holding hands behind our backs.
