A year ago I got knocked off course. Facebook shut me down, the business went quiet, and I let that untether me. But my goal hasn't changed: to empower 10,000 women globally to confidently live out their purpose by 2030. I'm not content with the pond. I want the ocean.
So for the next six weeks I'm not chasing the business. I'm holding my own health — because the thing that always slides is the thing with no client, no team, nobody else waiting on it. Just me. This is me tethering that.
🪨 My Big Rock: get my health back on track.
Three stones sit under it:
- 🛌 Sleep — my starting point. I've already clawed my way from 4–5 hours up to 6–7, so the gains are made. Now it's the habit-forming part.
- 💪 Strengthening — restoring function and energy so I'm strong and able for this next stage of life, with plenty in the tank to chase the grandkids.
- 🥗 Healthy eating — nourishing my body instead of defaulting to quick and convenient when I'm under pressure.
Sleep is where I start. The one behaviour I'm committing to: my day gets a door, and the iPad doesn't come through it. Group replies done in daylight before my 5–5.30pm check-in, then the check-in is the door I walk out through, and the device goes down an hour before bed. 📊 My measure: 5 nights out of 7 with the device down before bed, and 6–7 hours becoming 7 more often than not.
🛟 My floor – on my worst day I do one thing — I show up here at 5 and say what's actually happening. "I'm here, I'm overwhelmed, and I'm still showing up." Miss a day, come back the next. The bar has to clear my worst day, not my best.
I know how this slides when it slides — it won't look like quitting, it'll look like something reasonable getting in the way. That's exactly the moment I'll come back to this post.
I've been planning every day since March. I want this momentum to continue. 💪
