Over the last 8 weeks I quietly ditched a bunch of sneaky dopamine drains:
- Doom‑scrolling
- “One more episode”
- Netflix + Demand TV binges
- Low‑value scrolling loops
And weirdly… removing stuff gave me more:
- 8kg gone (wellless - so that is a good thing)
- Better fitness
- Actual time for artwork
- Time to volunteer
- Learning new skills
- Longer‑lasting dopamine from projects that matter
- A clearer sense of my future
The 5‑Day Challenge helped heaps — especially the Morning/Evening Protocols and breaking big, overwhelming tasks into tiny doable ones.
I still have some work to do on my Biological Regulation, that is sleep, exercise and nutrition - but it is a work in progress.
And because I finally had time back…Here’s a photo of something I built as a gift for a dear friend. Eight weeks ago this would’ve been “maybe next year.”
If you’re new here:Try subtracting one tiny thing - You'll be shocked at what grows in the space it leaves.
