📅 Daily Check-in - October 9, 2026
💭 Reflection:
"Yesterday, I got a text from my son about bringing my granddaughter back home with me after her track meet, so she spent some time at our place last night. She did well in the meet - finished 7th and ahead of all the other teams girls. She also had her personal record in time.
In the early afternoon, I finally got to talk to my best friend after about a week or so of not getting a chance to talk. She has been writing every day and she did go on a trail last week and took some pictures while on her walk. She would like me to teach her some basic photography skills. It's nice that we are encouraging and supporting each other in our artistic pursuits.
This morning, I did not go outside or do my breathwork. I don't know why I didn't. It is a little chilly this morning, but it has been the last couple days and I just wore a jacket. I think I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I feel like I have too much on my plate, and I really would be happy not to do any of the Medicare anymore. But it doesn't seem to make sense to not do the certs at least this year. Plus, I do my husband's Medicare for him. I also feel like there's a lot I have going on with the art. I probably overcommitted to several courses to help me and now feel like there's so much to do and, as usual, I don't feel like I get much accomplished in ay given day. It is a work in progress, I suppose. I am definitely seeing a lot of improvements in even recognizing issues and also can see places where I've improved. I guess I'm a little impatient.
I did have a high protein breakfast. I did watch a couple of watercolor videos. I know I shouldn't have been on my phone yet. LOL Old habits die hard.
Today is my birthday and we will be going to my mom's for a birthday dinner tonight and I'm looking forward to seeing her. It's been a little while.
I also plan to maybe do a certification today and definitely work on my art business launch course. And I need to look for a photograph that I was going to use as my first product. I definitely need to come up with a system to track all the things that I need to do without them overwhelming me, but so I can get them done and not forget about them. How do people who were diagnosed or finally suspected having ADHD late in life make all the changes needed after having decades of doing things a different way that isn't working?
A lot of days, I just feel not only overwhelmed, but as if I don't have enough energy to do what I need to do."
