I have to admit that I haven't done the morning and evening protocols so can only speak about how my current routines are sabotaging me. I wake up and go to my phone to join a meditation class which is great however as soon as its over I continue to look at my phone for the cheap dopamine. Unfortunately by the time I come out of that "spell" I have wasted too much time and I feel drained already before I have even got out of bed! My evening is when revenge bedtime procrastination kicks in.. it is "my time" and I collapse onto the sofa to binge watch tv shows and fall asleep until 3am or later before getting up to get ready for bed and it is already the next day!!
I have tried to implement a routine where I change into my pjs after dinner and washing up is done and that has felt much more relaxing and it also signifies to me that it is almost bedtime. When I have done this I managed to not lie down on the sofa and actually got to bed by 12.30pm or 1.30pm which is a start and I did feel so much better for it. I had more sleep and therefore more energy the next day. Onwards and upwards!
